Alkaline Water Making You Sick?

By on August 4, 2013

I’ve never been a fan of overpriced anything. I’ve always said, even if I were a multi-milionaire I’d still wanna fix or make things myself. Before becoming a gypsy this summer, I made my own water filter – a good practice to know in the event of an emergency. Now I carry a portable structured water unit that I love! Not only does it structure my water as if it just came down a mountain, it helps protect me against EMF (electro magnetic fields). It’s spring water without the spring. Space saving and worth every penny! (My friend Carlos has the whereabouts on these).

I prefer the less is more approach on all – old school, no fluff, no paying for packaging, just plain ol’ eating my vitamins and using food as my Farmacy. Yes, there’s a time and a place to take supplements, such as in a health promoting/anti-aging regime, but not on a daily basis for the rest of your life. That is lazy and a waste of money, especially if your body isn’t clean enough to absorb.

Because I help people with disease prevention and natural healing, I’ve been asked to sell different things/supplements. The biggest, most costly one being the Kangen water unit. I never felt the overwhelming urge to recommend it, let alone sell it, which I wrote a lil more about in my Ageless Aging book. For starters, I do not believe in paying more middle women/men than necessary. I’m not saying all network marketing is bad, that’s besides the point. More importantly, my gut was not keen on the concept. The same thing happened to me on agave nectar. I bought one organic bottle (may have been raw) years ago. My gut screamed, don’t do it, but that’s just me. There’s been good and bad written on agave – listen to your gut.

As for the $4K Kangen water unit… a former chiropractor became anemic and lost more weight than healthy. Then a good friend asked my opinion on buying one for she and her 16 y/o autistic son. I said no and gave her my reasons. She bought, then spent a year in and out of hospital with him to reverse “damage” done. What happened (in nonscientific terms) is that it detoxed him too quickly. He had to learn how to walk and talk all over again. My friend feared losing him at times.

If you or someone you know is drinking nothing but alkaline water and are suffering from bloating with flatulence/gas, or even candida, the water you’re drinking may be the culprit. It may be wiping out too much of the good acid. The acid needed to control pathogens, fungus/candida and more. This very informative 30-minute video explains pH, flora, candida, antibiotics, yeast infections and more. He even talks about using lime juice for deodorant, which is something else I wrote about. Most days I don’t use anything – if and when I do, I’ll use lime, apple cider vinegar, or even coconut oil (rubbed in well).

Like antibacterial soap (and antibiotics) wiping out too many good bacteria, alkaline water can do the same. As you’ll see in this video, alkaline can promote growth, whereas, acidity can kill it. Our stomach and skin need a certain amount of acid to survive and thrive. This is not to single out alkaline water – I happen to love the taste of it. But, even so-called good things can cause an imbalance. Moderation is key.

Stop wasting time worrying what pH your food is, and start paying attention to if it’s natural or not. In other words- are you eating fruits and vegetables, or bread, pasta, sugar and other crap? THAT’S what you should be focussing on, not pH.”  ~Markus Rothkranz~
