Dental Cavities Are CONTAGIOUS And Affect More Than Teeth?!

By on February 22, 2014

Shortcuts now, shortchange you later.

“Did you know that your oral health can offer clues about your overall health — or that problems in your mouth can affect the rest of your body? Understand the intimate connection between oral health and overall health and what you can do to protect yourself.”  ~MayoClinic.org~

As if diet weren’t reason enough to cause dental cavities, research now shows they may be contagious – from the mother to child. This, by sharing a spoon or cleaning the child’s pacifier with their saliva.

Good news is, just as food can create cavities, it can help take them away. Diet can also prevent crooked teeth. Weston A. Price proved this and his many followers continue to confirm it. It’s a matter of correcting nutritional deficiencies by eating foods such as butter, raw milk, cod liver oil, bone broths and other nutrient dense foods. All of which are within reach thanks to local chapters. Anyone can join and become a part of a CoOp. It’s a great way to get healthy food at fair prices. Also a great community of people for sharing recipes, ideas and in some cases starter cultures (for kefir, kombucha, sourdough bread, etc).

Reaching for the dollar menu and/or microwavable substitutes is beyond lazy. It is a lack of respect for your body. Thankfully the truth prevails – many of these food companies are now being exposed, thanks to savvy consumers, independent testing labs and some celebrities.

Running to a dentist doesn’t always solve the problem. Our teeth are a reflection of our health. This 2+ minute video explains the connection. Pulling them out or covering them up does your body a disservice. Each and every tooth is connected to a certain part of the body through the energy of meridians.

Just because mechanics are easy to come by, doesn’t mean we take our vehicle in each and every time something seems wrong. The same should apply to our teeth and body. Giving both top notch fuel and regular maintenance (detox and good oral hygiene) goes a long way in preventing dental caries and dis-ease. May we begin to see more mouth-body doctors in the near future because, just as food is important for health, the opposite is true.

“According to Dr Reinhold Voll (the developer of electroacupuncture) and many other skilled and enlightened practitioners up to 90% of all disease has an orientation in the mouth.”  ~mouthbodydoctor.com~
