Got Inflammation and Disease? Barefoot Them Away!

One of my 10 Steps to Ageless Aging is going barefoot. Something so simple, yet sadly overlooked. It is what Dr. Sinatra refers to as Cave (Wo)Man Medicine. NOT overlooked, are shoes – they’ve become ridiculously over-rated! One thing I love about my osteopath is he treats patients in his socks. He’s more grounded and in tune (more intuitive) to what is going on (with my body), not to mention more comfy!

There are many causes of dis-ease and premature death. Inflammation is a big one, but so are faulty diet, autointoxication, sugar, stress, and more. The good news is we can have complete control over most causes. Stress isn’t always easy to control, but left untreated can lead to dis-ease and potential chronic muscle spasms that lead to misalignment (and unnecessary surgeries). Inflammation alone can cause pain. And sugar can cause inflammation. Alzheimer’s has even been referred to as Type 3 Diabetes. Why? Because of inflammation in the brain. Can you see the vicious cycle of it all? More good news is that it can all be prevented and reversed. Diet being the first line of defense of course.

The following are two great videos on barefoot walking and grounding by two men who walk their talk. The first is a 3+ minute video by Dr. Sinatra, an M.D. and heart specialist. He explains how barefoot walking can turn our blood from a ketchup consistency to that of wine. A safe alternative to the ridiculous aspirin a day blood thinner theory. Those in the know, know that even hot peppers can help thin and circulate blood.

This second video is by David Wolfe, considered a leader in the world of nutrition and longevity. Although not quite old enough to talk anti-aging (yet), he continues to do his homework on preventing dis-ease and premature aging. He is however a raw foodist, can’t remember if he is vegan. Either way, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all diet for everyone. What is important is eating real food and keeping your body clean enough to absorb it and circulate clean blood. Here, he goes more into depth (on grounding) in this 10+ minute video. Both videos are worthy of 15 minutes of your time it takes to watch them and lifetime of benefits they can bring you!
