Losing Weight As A Vegan Is A NO BRAINER

By on July 5, 2015

Don’t know about you, but I have a hard time with the obvious. Just because a celebrity endorses something does not mean it’s good for you. Or that it’s some new fad. One thing that is certain, follow someone who’s been doing it awhile, like years. If not, decades. Best clue is… If they look healthy, they’ve mastered it.

“Sticking to a vegan diet could be one of the best ways to lose weight,  according to a new study that suggests vegans lose an average of two kilograms (4.4 pounds) more on the short term than individuals on other diet plans.” ~msn.com~

While I’ve been a vegetarian since my pre teen years, many days are vegan. NOT exactly for everyone and NOT something I’d recommend LONG TERM. And certainly not something I plan.

Without some Know How, being vegan or even a vegetarian can make a person sick. Unless you’ve got celebrity $$$ to get all the required nutrients and/or hire someone, be careful. I’m not one for killing animals but, even just adding some butter or broth to your diet can help. Your brain and body need fat. However, too many nuts and seeds can make the thighs thicker and waist wider.

Being a vegan means not eating/using anything that came from something with a face. This includes honey and vaccinations, among other things like personal care products.

May this mere fad end soon and all just realize that eating less animal products doesn’t just spare thee animal their life. It’ll add more life to your years and years to your life. An added benefit is the enormous amount of water it’ll save. Something we Californians need.

If the wisdom of your body desires to eat less meat, heed its warning. Meatless Monday can help you get started. Giving your body a break will help what ails you. Done correctly, you’ll also feel, look, and THINK better. Not to mention, your 5 senses (AND intuition) will improve including how you smell and taste to others. Having gone from a struggling student to straight A, the thinking benefit is no exaggeration.

Cheers to what IS important! That being your health, not the latest fad.
