Medical Marijuana–Know Your Rights

By on December 26, 2014

“In 2003 then-California Attorney General Bill Lockyer issued an opinion that said possessing concentrated cannabis, which can take the form of hash, wax and honey oil, qualified for protection under the state’s landmark Compassionate Use Act of 1996, which legalized medical pot.” ~Dennis Romero~

It should! Just as there are those that abuse pHARMaceuticals, there are many potheads out there that abuse the legality and medicinal purposes of this herb. Only real difference between usage of both is that many (celebrities included) have died from legally prescribed drugs.

Whether using for recreation or medicine, one must never point fingers. There are after all THREE pointing back. I’ve seen the benefits of medical marijuana work time and time again. Not just for my brother who is alive 30 years later, but for many others. Even greater is how it has enabled many to get off countless prescription drugs. Especially for those who hated taking them in the first place and/or did not like how these doctor prescribed medicines made them feel.

Eat, Smoke/Vape or Under The Tongue?

While smoking works for many, there are others who just aren’t good smokers, or simply prefer not to. This is where edibles, hash, topicals, wax, oil and even honey oil work well. Though, one must use caution since most other methods of consumption are highly concentrated.

Compassionate Use Act Includes Many Forms

Good news for the non smokers, and/or for those who prefer to medicate less frequently–you can legally carry these other forms. Contrary to what many police officers even know, these concentrated forms are and have been legal. Just make sure you purchase from a reputable source.

While mention of the above forms of cannabis discuss those higher in THC, know the difference because getting the wrong strain can exacerbate a condition like anxiety. For those with conditions such as anxiety, stress, pain, insomnia or even epilepsy, strains higher in CBD will be what you need. The key lies in finding a knowledgable doctor, not a fly-by-night medical marijuana prescription writer.

**consumption link above lists EIGHTEEN methods of use.
